My husband started with his field bred English Cockers around the same
time as we began in Bulldogs, about 10 years ago.
The Labrador Retrievers were just to big, so he began to look for a
small hunting dog that could do everything a big dog could, but in a
smaller package.
He found the Field bred English Cocker. They are great hunters, very
loyal and loving lap dogs.
Males are about 25 pounds and Females about 20. They are not suited for
kennel life.
